Using SMS Text
SMS Text is one of the often used forms of communication now days. It is fast and easy and right at everyone's fingertips to make quick, short messages to friends and family. SMS Text or “texting” can be up to 160 characters, though many smart phone will allow you to type in whatever size message you want and if more than 160 characters, it will just breaks it into multiple messages.
When trying to Grow your Varolo Village using texting, you need to keep several key things in mind.
1) Anyone you text will likely have a high degree of trust in you. As a result there is a good chance they will read and respond to your text. This is a very positive thing and quite different from email which people often disregard.
2) Many smart phone will actually be able to play the 2 minute tour video. Other phones will not be able to. So don’t assume your friend will be able to play the ad right there. If you are with a friend, keep the link handy to the video which is http://www.varolo.com/tour.php If your phone will play it, you can show it to them when you are with them rather than waiting until later.
3) If your custom link is too long, shorten it with a URL shortening service (free) like bit.ly. Go out to http://bit.ly and you can put in your custom link and it will generate a much smaller URL that you can use. This is ideal for SMS text.
4) use a convincing but short message when you introduce your friends to Varolo. Here are some examples:

Obviously there are lots of short messages that you can send to friends. Encourage them to call you and when they do, be prepared to answer their questions.
